Why do the children of Miagao need your kindness?

The pictures on this page do represent the current living conditions, “like they say a picture is worth a thousand words!” Sure we could bore you with stats, like the avg. wage earner today makes $2.35 USD per day. A professional earner such as a electrician, carpenter, RN nurse, CPA, manager, etc make between the range of $4.41 to $5.80 that is only if they can find work, in their field, most end up working for $2.35 or less per day, even thou they have a college degree, well some even four or more year degrees! “You may ask why” this is easily explained!  In this area there is an average unemployment rate that is in the (80) eighty percent (+) plus range, and no one will comment on the true under employment rate.

Also just to give you an idea on the cost for staples: The avg. size family eats/needs about 6.0 pounds of rice per day which was at the beginning of 2003 $.011cents per pound or $.66 per day, but now that same pound of rice is $.021 or $1.23 per day!

Then with the approximate cost per pound of fish at $ .071 then, pork & or chicken at $1.15 and Beef at $1.43 per pound & this is mainly farm area, so vegetables and fruit are abundant and used to be very inexpensive like a bunch of banana’s was only $.003, but now is $.019 a fresh big pineapple was only $019 & now is $039! Then vegetables in 2003 were negligible in cost, a head of cabbage was $.007, but now is $.039, a bunch of carrots was $.005, but now for 2 pc only is $.019.

This is graphic; but honestly is the big reason we need your help! Therefore, with your help we will have enough resources to stop this senseless waste of so many young lives’s, as well as those seniors that are still in their prime of life. Just because they could not have access to proper nutrition, emergency healthcare, water & sanitation, basic medications, etc.

Please let’s all of us get going and help- them to be able to smile again! Your kindness can make all the difference!!!

Then there is fuel to cook, for most now like the lady in the picture above use charcoal or wood, and just a few now use propane in small portable tanks with a crude one or two burner stove as the cost used to be in 2003 $4.47 per small tank, now it is $10.29 per small portable tank in 2006! Unbelievable with wages in 2003 has stayed about the same or in some case less in 2006!

The picture’s above does represent the current living conditions, but understand we could have chosen some more graphic pictures but we believe that you can grasp just how much help is needed here just by knowing this pictures represent the high class of the poor families in this Barangay. Just think about the real poor for a moment if you only had a daily income of less then one dollar (US $1.00) to feed your family six (6) to eight (8) persons is the more or less average would you buy a bar of just like safe guard soap at a cost of $0.60 per bar or laundry soap good for one week at a cost of $0.32 or for that a 150ml tube of toothpaste at $1.20 per tube. Looking at the prices above for the just plain staples of food for the fuel to cook it! Think about it for a moment what would you do? Know can you see why we are reaching out in seeking your kind assistance! Please help now by  utilizing your mouse click this Donate Now! (Below)
